February Meeting
Posted on February 1st, 2012 by ClayHello everyone! It is that time of month again. We will be holding our monthly meeting on February 7th, at Grace Lutheran Church on 9th Ave, 6:30pm. I hope to see everyone there. We will be having a guest speaker from ECUA, James Roberts. Please try to come if you can, our membership is waning and we need to see your support for this cause. Thank you for participating.
October Meeting
Posted on September 30th, 2011 by ClayHello neighbors!
It is that time of month again. I have not received any information about holding the meeting at the church so I am planning to do it at the park as usual. I am moving the time up to 6pm so it doesn't get dark on us. The weather has been nice in the evenings so I think it will be just fine for us to use. If it is raining or threatening weather, I will send out an email with further instructions. Hope to see everyone there October 3rd. We will be discussing a garage sale for funds, school bus patrol, area clean up, and we may have a speaker (not determined yet). If there are any problems with the time change please email me.
September Meeting
Posted on August 22nd, 2011 by ClayHello Neighbors!
As you probably have noticed (I didn't, thanks for the reminders), the meeting this coming month will be held on Labor Day. Just kidding, we will be holding the meeting on the 12th at 6:30 as usual. With all the possible weather, we will hold our meeting at the church if it is raining. I have never held a meeting at the church before. Do we need to contact anyone and tell them? Any advice on this would be appreciated. As always, visit www.crimereports.com for up to date crime reports anytime, I will have it at our next meeting as I did last one. It looks like we are maintaining our standards and keeping crime out of our neighborhood. Again though, the Circle K across from Harbour Square and Old Spanish Trail has been hit with serious crime including vehicle theft and assault with a deadly weapon. Surely there is something we can do to remove this blemish from our map. Any ideas are appreciated. I have not been in contact with the surrounding community as I had wished (lots of travel this month), but I will continue this effort as I feel it will help ours in the long run. Thank you.
August Meeting
Posted on August 1st, 2011 by ClayIn my haste I made an error in my last post. Our meeting will not be held "early in the morning" as stated. Not sure where my mind was, probably mowing grass. Our meeting will be this evening at 6:30 like normal.
August Meeting
Posted on July 31st, 2011 by ClayWe will be have an August meeting, weather permitting of course. I am working on getting all the names right on the email list, so if you did not receive an email, let me know in our next meeting, the first of August. We will be taking ideas for a community project, such as the park cleanup, for us to get out and show our presence. It will probably be hot so early morning would be best. Let me know you ideas through Email
MINUTES FROM JULY 11,2011
Posted on July 18th, 2011 by ClayE-mail Account and Postings
Our new President Clay Probst is working on the neighbor watch e-mail account and updating it. He is also posting the crime reports on our e-mail site at Regency Park Watch.com. You will be able to check out crime in our neighborhood by going to the site. The crime rate is low for our watch area at present.
Personal and home security
Our new President, Clay gave a talk on personal and home security. Be careful when using the computer and sending out e-mail. Using BBC rather than To or CC is safer. Do not give out credit card numbers to just anyone.Shred personal mail and papers. File your bank statements. Use the flip locks, like hotels use, rather than chain locks , on your front and back doors. You can buy these at Lowes, Home Depo etc. Make sure you have secure passwords when it comes to the Internet and your banking.
New Member We have a possible new member who came to our meeting.
Meeting Ended The meeting ended early due to rain.
Secretary Nancy McWhirter
