MINUTES FROM JULY 11,2011
Posted on July 18th, 2011 by ClayE-mail Account and Postings
Our new President Clay Probst is working on the neighbor watch e-mail account and updating it. He is also posting the crime reports on our e-mail site at Regency Park Watch.com. You will be able to check out crime in our neighborhood by going to the site. The crime rate is low for our watch area at present.
Personal and home security
Our new President, Clay gave a talk on personal and home security. Be careful when using the computer and sending out e-mail. Using BBC rather than To or CC is safer. Do not give out credit card numbers to just anyone.Shred personal mail and papers. File your bank statements. Use the flip locks, like hotels use, rather than chain locks , on your front and back doors. You can buy these at Lowes, Home Depo etc. Make sure you have secure passwords when it comes to the Internet and your banking.
New Member We have a possible new member who came to our meeting.
Meeting Ended The meeting ended early due to rain.

June Crime Reports
Posted on July 1st, 2011 by ClayI have found a map representation of crime in our area. The site is called www.crimereports.com. I am going to add a link to the website so you can get to it from here. Very informative site with very good information on a Google Map interface. just type in your address (or zip code) and drag the map to see what you want. Below is an example of our area. When you click one of the symbols, it gives a brief description of the crime. More at the meeting! (this is a picture)
Suspicious Activity
Posted on July 1st, 2011 by Clay
At around 9:40 , June 21st, a dark sports car was noticed going around the south end of Tradewinds Dr. The car was stopping in front of houses and following a general pattern through the three cul-de-sacs. The Sheriff's office was notified at this time. 10 minutes later the car again stopped in front of the house and turned off its lights. A black male appearing to take photos with his phone was noticed along with a large black man with Dreadlocks exiting the front porch. I immediately called the Sheriff's office back and they sent out a police SUV which drove by and did not stop.
Thanks to Christopher West to getting this in. I apologize for the delay in getting it posted, technical issues have been resolved. This could have been Repo men, but who knows. Calling the police will not bother them (if they are legitimate) so please report all suspicious activity to the police.
